An 18-year veteran of Hawaii’s
hospitality industry, Chris works closely
with airline and wholesaler partners
throughout the U.S. and Canada
promoting the many offerings of Maui
Nui — Maui, Molokai and Lānai. A
proficient and seasoned hula dancer,
Chris has competed in various hula
competitions for more than 20 years,
including Hilo’s prestigious Merrie
Monarch Festival. He takes great pride
in accurately presenting and sharing his
native Hawaiian culture with all those
he meets “on the road” on his travels for
MVB. For the last eight years, he has
served as overall chairperson of Hula
o nā Keiki, Maui’s signature keiki hula
competition hosted by the Kāanapali
Beach Hotel.
BIG ISLAND

Deanna Isbister, Leisure Sales
Director, Big Island Visitors Bureau
Deanna returned home to Hawaii
and joined the Big Island Visitors
Bureau two years ago. She promoted
Hawaii for many years as a U.S.-based
regional sales manager with Aston
Hotels Hawaii / ResortQuest Hawaii
and also had the opportunity to head
the Hawaii Groups Department of
Apple Vacations. Her return home to
Hawaii and the Big Island has brought
new diverse experiences, cultural
knowledge and insights that Deanna
would like to share with partners who
love to sell Hawaii.
